Tyler spent his formative years in Round Rock, TX, where he attended Round Rock High School. Following graduation, he pursued a bachelor's degree in accounting at Trinity University. His passion for the legal field led him to attend St. Mary's University School of Law, where he obtained his law degree after three years of study. Developing a keen interest in taxation, Tyler furthered his expertise by earning a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from the University of Denver-Sturm College of Law.

Early Work

Tyler embarked on his tax career with Big 4 Accounting, where he gained valuable experience by contributing to numerous significant tax consulting projects, preparing tax returns, and handling IRS controversies. Subsequently, he assumed the role of Director of the Tax Department at a tax representation company, where he provided oversight and guidance. In this capacity, Tyler successfully represented a considerable number of clients in their interactions with the IRS, navigating through diverse tax-related issues. Furthermore, he has extended his representation services to clients involved in probate proceedings, civil litigation, and debt collection matters.

Admissions and Personal Life

Tyler holds a license to practice law in Texas and is authorized to appear before esteemed bodies such as the U.S. Tax Court and U.S. District Court - Western District of Texas. He is an active member of the Texas State Bar Tax Section. In 2018, Tyler completed the Leadership Round Rock program, and he is presently a board member for YMCA - Round Rock and the Round Rock Police Foundation.
