Tyler grew up in Round Rock, Texas where he attended Round Rock High School. After graduation, Tyler attended Trinity University and graduated with a major in accounting. Tyler was then accepted into St Mary's University School of Law, where he graduated with a law degree three years later. Finding an interest in tax, he received his masters in tax law (LLM in taxation) at the University of Denver Sturm College Of Law.
Tyler is licensed to practice law in Texas, admitted to practice before the
U.S. Tax Court, United States District Court - Western District of Texas,
and is a member of the Texas State Bar Tax Section. Tyler is a graduate of
the 2018 Leadership Round Rock program is a currently a board member with
YMCA - Round Rock and a member of Ascend Emerging Leaders Program. He
currently resides in Round Rock with his wife, two sons, and beagle. Tyler
enjoys fishing, exercising, outdoor grilling, watching movies, golf, and
coaching his two kiddos in various sports.
Tyler began his tax career in Big 4 Accounting. He worked on several large tax consulting projects, tax return preparation, and IRS controversy. Tyler then oversaw the tax department of a tax representation company as the director of the tax department. Tyler represented hundreds of clients before the IRS and dealt with various tax matters. He has gone on to represent many clients in probate, civil litigation, and debt collection.
